Liverpool prepare bid for struggling Fiorentina striker

Giuseppe Rossi ItalyFiorentina forward Giuseppe Rossi has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Liverpool willing to pay highly for the player.

The former Villarreal star has been ailed by season stopping knee injuries since joining La Viola in January of 2013, who at one point leading the Serie A goalscoring charts before being sidelined for the whole of last season, and the player has since struggled to find a consistent spot in Paulo Sousa’s plans.

According to ItaSportPress, Liverpool are willing to offer up to £18 million for the American born Italian that began his senior career with Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have also been linked with Alexandre Pato, but Rossi’s agent has insisted that he would benefit playing more consistently than his current situation in Florence.

Rossi has yet to score since returning to play in Serie A, but has made two assists and managed to find the net twice in his three Europa League starts.
