Inter forward Adem Ljajic believes that the Biscione can benefit from their 2-1 loss to Napoli as they prepare to face Genoa at home on Saturday.

The 24-year-old, who has scored one goal and provided three assists in his nine Serie A appearances this term thus far, feels that the negative result in Naples will motivate the Nerazzurri to train and play even harder against the Grifone as they fight to regain the top spot on the league table.

Ljajic spoke to Inter Channel about the Milan side’s upcoming clash with Genoa and commented on his mission to do whatever he can to help his team succeed this season.

“In a way, losing to Napoli can be an advantage for us in the light that we played,” said the Serbia international.

“It can be a driving force for us, hopefully you’ll be able to see our ferocity in the match against Genoa.

“The fans’ positive feelings towards me? I enjoy it. I came to Inter to play well and give my best, both in training and in matches.

“I’m doing fine physically. For me it’s more important that the whole team is doing well, rather than just an individual.

“I like to help and I always try to do it in any way possible. It’s not hard for me when the coach calls me to the bench, we all have to help each other equally.

“Right now our goal is to win every game and always give our best on the pitch.”
