Luigi DelneriLuigi Delneri believes Hellas Verona’s problems are complicated but solvable after taking charge of Serie A’s bottom club.

The former Juventus and Chievo coach was brought in to replace Andrea Mandorlini after the Gialloblu went their first 14 games of the season without a win, losing their last three home games 2-0 before a 3-2 defeat at relegation rivals Frosinone on Sunday.

“I am here to help out, the club’s situation is complicated but solvable,” said Delneri to Sky Sport Italia.

“I think it is important to take incentives into battle and Verona is an important place and I think it must have a place in Serie A with its history.

“This team needs to find safety and serenity in football and now I give my body and soul for Verona because I want them to stay in Serie A for a long time.”

Delneri’s reign begins with a Coppa Italia tie at home to Pavia before Empoli travel to the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday.
