Ventura - TorinoCoach Giampiero Ventura believes Torino’s draw against Roma was a fair result.

The Granata conceded late to a Miralem Pjanic free kick, but Maxi Lopez equalised from the penalty spot to make it 1-1, and the 67-year-old has recognised that his side need to be more clinical.

“A draw was  the right result,”Ventura told Sky Sport Italia. “It would have been unfair for us to lose as we kept Roma in check.

“We have worked on our transition from defence to attack, but we need to develop our execution and our finishing.

“We did make mistakes and only conceded in the dying minutes. Roma have a strong squad so it is a good draw.”

Daniele Baselli was one of the star performers for the Granata but picked up an injury forcing him off the field.

“Baselli has played more matches in the last four months than he has done in his entire career,” he continued.

“I hope his injury isn’t anything serious.”

Torino have 22 points keeping them in eighth in the Serie A table for the moment.
