Juventus striker Simone Zaza in the January transfer window.

The Bianconeri have recently slapped a lucrative €25 million price tag on the 24-year-old, although this has not deterred the Hammers, who will look to advance negotiations in the forthcoming days.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that the Premier League side are willing to offer at least €18m for the forward, although will initially aim to take him on-loan until the end of the season before making the potential move permanent.

Furthermore, the English side will be boosted by the fact that Zaza reportedly handed in a transfer request on Tuesday, with Calciomercato.com reporting that he is eager to obtain more playing time.

Having only signed from Sassuolo last July, the Italian international has struggled to cement a first team place at the Old Lady, making only seven Serie A appearances so far this campaign.

West Ham’s London rivals, Crystal Palace, have also demonstrated their interest in Zaza, who are keen to acquire the player’s services in the New Year.
