balotelli alessandriaAC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has lamented his side’s finishing in their 1-0 win over Alessandria, in their Coppa Italia semi-final first leg.

Milan had to rely on a penalty from Mario Balotelli to win the match, after the likes of Keisuke Honda, Andrea Poli and Balotelli himself missed good chances.

“I’m only partly satisfied, I’m pleased we won the game, but we could have killed the tie,” Mihajlovic told Rai Sport after the match.

“We missed to many good opportunities. I’m happy though as some players who haven’t had many minutes played.

“Poli and [Jose] Mauri played well. Now we have to think about the derby against Inter.”

Despite scoring the only goal of the night, the Serbian was disappointed with performance of Balotelli.

“Balotelli needs to improve his physical condition, let’s see what will happen in the next few days,” Mihajlovic added.

“He is does not normally celebrate after a goal, we respect his feelings.”

Finally Mihajlovic touched on Luiz Adriano, who started the match after his move to China fell through.

“I am very happy that Luiz is back with the squad, he adds depth to our forward line,” Mihajlovic revealed.

“[Jeremy] Menez still has to get match fit, he’s training with us, we’ll look at him more closely this week. ”
