AC Milan are lining up a shock summer return for anticipated Chelsea signing Alexandre Pato and will be keeping a tight eye on the striker over the next six months.
The Brazilian is currently in London to finalise his loan deal from Corinthians to Chelsea, though could be on the move again at the end of the season.
Reports from La Stampa suggest that Milan are keen to bring their former forward back to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the summer.
The Rossoneri are said to already be planning ahead and will now monitor the striker’s progress with the English outfit, over the next six months.
A main worry is that Pato may be pegged down by similar physical issues that plagued his time in Serie A, and the club are unwilling to make a move for his services come the summer unless he displays consistency in both form and fitness.
Pato joined Milan in 2007, scoring 63 goals in 150 appearances throughout all competitions, during his five-year tenure.
