Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has revealed that he’s been dissatisfied with Edinson Cavani’s behaviour as of late, but claims that the striker is prepared to positively adjust his attitude.

The 28-year-old has been steadily linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus in recent weeks and it seems his unfavourable behaviour could be a reflection of his desire to return to Italy, though the PSG coach has faith in his player’s ability to change for the better.

Blanc spoke during a press conference on Tuesday about Cavani’s recent attitude and admitted that the Uruguay international could possibly redeem himself by appearing in PSG’s Coupe de la Ligue clash with Toulouse on Wednesday.

“I’ve always defended Cavani to the extreme, in every situation,” said the French tactician. “I’ve always been on his side.

“He is a very generous player on the field. In the group life outside, however, Cavani has not behaved correctly.

“But he understands all of this and in the future he will act for the good of the team. He has a chance to take the field against Toulouse tomorrow.”
