Bologna, la prima conferenza stampa di DonadoniBologna coach Roberto Donadoni praised his side for their win at the fortress of Sassuolo’s Mapei Stadium, and stressed the belief that his side can improve.

Emanuele Giaccherini struck a wonderful effort in the 68th minute to put his side infront before Sergio Floccari scored in injury time to seal a 2-0 away win at Sassuolo.

“Our ambition is always to improve, I like to think that my team has room for improvement,” Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“The opponent can get you in trouble, but if you believe you can get a result even somewhere as hard to visit as Sassuolo.”

Floccari scored the second for the away side against his former team, who he left just two weeks ago for a fee believed to be in the region of €500,000.

“He has played for Sassuolo until a few days ago, [He is] a great professional and today  he gave us a big hand in a role that’s not his own,” Donadoni said of his new signing.

“He’s always been available, I’m glad he found the goal,”

The Bologna boss also singled out Giaccherini after he opened the scoring with an thunder-strike from the edge of the box.

“He’s scoring important goals, he is a player who had been suffering in recent years, but now he is better, he needs certainties and these goals help him always,” added Donadoni.
