Rolando Maran was happy with his side’s performance in a 3-3 draw with Roma in Serie A on Wednesday afternoon.

Simone Pepe’s late free-kick required goal-line technology to prove it had inched over the line as the Flying Donkeys came from behind twice in the match to seal a point and nudge up the table into 12th.

“We did well to recover after two goals but there is regret for how we conceded them,” Maran told Radio Rai.

“It was a positive performance with personality, doing well to keep our heads in difficult situations, and growing physically into the match.

“We are on track.”

Chievo now travel to Bologna on Sunday as they look to further cement their position in mid-table, although they may have to do so without forward Riccardo Meggiorini, who came off injured in the first-half of today’s clash.
