Crystal Palace are hoping to sign Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel in the January transfer window.
The London side have been chasing various forwards from Italy in recent weeks including Juventus star Simone Zaza and Fiorentina forward Khouma Babacar, however, Palace were unable to agree a deal for either player.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Palace will offer €15 million to Sassuolo in the hope of securing a deal for Defrel.
It is also reported that the Eagles will have scouts at the Neroverdi’s match against Inter in Serie A this weekend.
Sassuolo would consider selling Defrel for such a high sum, especially considering the form of Domenico Berardi this season.
The 24-year-old is not a guaranteed starter in Emilia-Romagna and is therefore open to a move away from the Mapei stadium.
Defrel joined Sassuolo for €7 million from Cesena last year and has scored two goals this season in Serie A for the Neroverdi.
