GiovincoToronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco admitted that he does miss his former team Juventus.

Despite his nostalgia for the Bianconeri, the 28-year-old is loving life in MLS after finishing his debut season in Canada as the league’s MVP.

“I’ve settled really well in Toronto, I am very pleased with the decision I made,” said Giovinco to SportItalia.

“I can’t wait to go again because I haven’t played for two months. I do miss Juventus but I made a decision and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

“I knew that the league was growing and I wanted to change everything in my life and I couldn’t turn down the money they were offering.

“I have no regrets about my decision, maybe I will in a couple of years but not at the moment.

“Juventus are the only team I would return to Europe for, I have a strong will.”

The Italian was also asked about interest from other clubs before his move to Canada, with Barcelona and Bologna both linked to the attacking midfielder.

“I didn’t believe the stories about Barcelona were true myself but they were,” added Giovinco.

“I read messages and there was interest, it was nothing concrete but it did exist. I could have also gone to Bologna but there was also nothing concrete from them.

“Toronto were the most serious team so I chose them.”

The former Parma player also hopes to be part of the Azzurri’s squad for the European Championship in France and doesn’t believe that playing in North America will be a hindrance to his dream.

“I’ve showed myself to the coach and neither of us have a problem with where I’m playing,” Giovinco added.

“I am at the coach’s disposal and I hope to be part of EURO 2016.”
