Serie A leaders Inter are reportedly monitoring Lazio’s Keita Balde Diao as a possible winter transfer alternative to Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Nerazzurri have courted the Argentinian since last summer and as of yet have failed in their quest to lure him to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

However, as reported in La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Biscione are keeping a close watch on the Biancocelesti’s 20-year-old prodigy as an alternative purchase this winter.

The former Barcelona youth player has also attracted interest from outside the Serie A, with Valencia and Monaco among the monitoring parties.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has asked for €25 million for the Spanish forward, which The Messenger reported would price the Ligue 1 side out with a budget limited to just €14 million.

Despite the transfer talk surrounding the club, president Erick Thohir has advocated transfer caution with the Beneamata likely to sell prior to making any significant purchases.
