Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin has been prioritised by a club from China, who approached the Nerazzurri on Saturday with a huge bid.

Colombia international Guarin has been immovable in Roberto Mancini’s midfield this season, appearing in 14 league fixtures and scoring once, but could now be on the move with an intriguing challenge awaiting.

The latest news comes courtesy of Alfredo Pedulla on SportItalia, who says Inter and the player’s agent were made aware of interest on Saturday night.

The name of the potential Chinese suitors is currently unknown, but the most likely suspects are Guangzhou Evergrande, who are coached by Luis Felipe Scolari.

A transfer fee of €15 million might be enough to take the midfielder away from the city of Milan, whilst also freeing up a bit of space for coach Mancini to act in the current transfer market.

Inter may need some investment after losing their place on top of the Serie A table to Napoli.
