Bournemouth forward Juan Iturbe has revealed his reasoning for departing Roma this week.

The winger left the Giallorossi to join up with English Premier League side Bournemouth, who are involved in a relegation fight in England, and has talked about how the pressures at Roma drove him away.

“I thank Bournemouth for the opportunity they have given me,” Iturbe said, kicking off his presentation conference.

“In Rome there was a lot of pressure and I decided that I needed a change, in order to feel better about myself.

“This is a new challenge for me, and it was an easy decision to make.”

However, Iturbe has already noticed one difference between England and Italy, where he’d been living for a number of years prior to now.

“My first impression of England? It’s cold! I look forward to the summer.”
