Lazio are believed to be interested in signing Napoli midfielder Mirko Valdifiori, however if a deal isn’t possible, the Biancocelesti have alternatives in mind.
The Aquile have been in inconsistent form this season and are looking to reinforce their squad before the end of the transfer window.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Valdifiori is Lazio’s top priority, despite only moving to Naples last summer from Empoli.
Yet, despite the Italian being the Biancocelesti’s main target, sporting director Igli Tare has thought about other possible midfield signings.
On his shortlist include Atalanta’s Luca Cigarini, Empoli’s Marcel Buchel and former Sampdoria and current Malaga midfielder, Fernando Tissone.
Valdifiori moved to Napoli with coach Maurizio Sarri from Empoli, however, he’s struggled to fight his way into the Partenopei’s first-team; with just five starts to his name.
