Leicester City are keen on signing Sampdoria full-back Pedro Pereira as they continue their surprise title challenge in England.

Although the efforts of Danny Simpson at right-back have not gone unappreciated, the Foxes are eager to add a more creative outlet.

According to Secolo XIX the attention has turned to Sampdoria right-back Pedro Pereira, who Leicester see as an ideal long-term replacement.

So strong is the belief in the 17 year-old’s potential that Leicester are preparing a bid close to €10 million to bring him to England and should money alone not be enough to persuade owner Massimo Ferrero to part with Pereira, then Leicester have players to offer.

Former Atalanta defender Yohan Benalouane is considered surplus to requirements at the King Power Stadium and could leave while Andrej Kramaric is another that has featured sparingly and was on the radar of many Serie A clubs, including both Milan sides.

Pereira joined the Bluecerchiati from Benfica in 2015, going on to establish himself as one of the brightest talents at the club.
