Marcello Lippi could make a sensational move to AC Milan should the Rossoneri opt for a coaching change.
Current boss Sinisa Mihajlovic continues to be under pressure at the club, with supremos Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani reportedly fed up with the team’s lacklustre performances this season, and a failure this weekend could spell the end for the Serbian.
Tuttosport report that Mihajlovic may be relieved of his duties even if AC Milan claim victory over Fiorentina on Sunday.
According to the report, vice-president Galliani has his heart set on Lippi and would love to have him in place at the team as early as Monday.
Former Italy tactician Lippi last coached in 2014 for Chinese team Guangzhou Evergrande, but has an impressive resume with previous stints at Juventus, Inter and Napoli.
If the latest news is to be believed, then it appears as though only an unprecedented destruction of Fiorentina this weekend could save the job of Mihajlovic, who only took over in the summer.
