Napoli are reportedly closing in on Porto midfielder Hector Herrera and are expected to land the talent in the coming days.
The 25-year-old, whose current contract with the Portuguese side is set to expire in June 2019, has been steadily linked with a possible move to the Partenopei in recent weeks and it seems like his transfer is on the verge of being confirmed, with the two teams seen as close to agreeing on a fee for his services.
According to Sport Mediaset, Napoli are willing to pay €18 million plus €2 million in bonuses in order to land the Mexico international, which falls short of Porto’s asking price of around €24 million, though an agreement is still expected to be finalised by the end of the week.
Herrera has scored five goals and provided two assists in his 13 Primeira Liga appearances this term thus far.
