Rolando InterInter are in talks to re-sign central defender Rolando, currently of Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Marseille.

The Portuguese international spent the 2013/14 season on loan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, enjoying a regular spell in the side before returning to parent club Porto and eventually to Marseille.

TuttoMercatoWeb report on negotiations over the Biscione loaning Rolando, with no fee required but a redemption clause of around €4 million demanded by the French side.

The Nerazzurri, however, would prefer to only spend €2.5m on the 30-year-old who is interested in moving back to Serie A, where he also spent time with Napoli on loan.

A deal appears to be close and yet could end up being a late January transfer as Marseille have asserted to Inter that a replacement would need to be bought in before they can sign off the Rolando loan.
