Roma defender Marquinhos has hinted that he would be open to returning to the Giallorossi someday, who he left to sign for current club Paris Saint-Germain in 2013.
Despite spending just one year at the Stadio Olimpico, the Brazilian, who cost the Parisien side over €30 million, admitted that he was still a fan of his old team and thinks that new boss, Luciano Spalletti, will succeed at the club.
“Garcia [Rudi] did a good job at Roma,” Marquinhos told Retesport.it. “He brought in some good players but went through a difficult phase.”
“I think Spalletti will do a good job,” he added.
“I am still a fan of Roma and I hope that he does well there.”
Before concluding, the 21-year-old was asked whether or not he could ever return to the Eternal City.
“Maybe one day I will return.”
