Hellas Verona striker Giampaolo Pazzini has stated that his side will continue fighting for survival following the Mastini’s 1-1 draw with Roma on Sunday afternoon.
The ex-Inter man cancelled out Radja Nainggolan’s opener; however, the point means that Luigi Delneri’s men are still winless.
“We are happy with the result, and the performance – we didn’t give up [despite trailing at the start of the first half],” Pazzini told Sky Sport.
“We’ll continue to fight for survival.”
The Italian international gave his thoughts regarding Roma going through a tough period which has seen them win only one win for the last eight games.
“Roma have really good players, they’re going through a rough period but they’ll overcome it.”
Verona are currently bottom of the Serie A table, with nine points – 12 points adrift of safety.
