Roma president James Pallotta was left disgusted by Saturday night’s 1-1 draw against AC Milan with a resulting club crisis meeting expected to take place this week.
The Giallorossi sit 5th in Serie A off the back of just one victory from their last ten games with the American owner’s criticisms placing further pressure on coach Rudi Garcia.
“The players are in good shape and this is a fact,” he told Il Messagero.it.
“I think the team is lacking a winning mentality.
“I was disgusted with the Milan result.”
Despite the return of club icon Francesco Totti, the team was once again on the receiving end of stadium-wide boos from the home fans, many of whom were calling for Garcia’s head.
And with the possibility of failing to qualify for the Champions League, it seems only a matter of time until the Frenchman is relieved of his duties.
There has already been wide speculation as to a possible replacement for the former Lille coach, with Luciano Spalletti, Fabio Capello and Marcello Lippi believed to be in the mix.
