Giacherini Bologna SassuoloSassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco spoke of his side’s lacklustre performance in the 2-0 defeat at home to Bologna.

The Neroverdi lost the game 2-0 to the in-form Felsinei. Second half strikes from Emanuele Giaccherini and Sergio Floccari sealed a comfortable win for the away side.

“We were poor in all departments, we were not good enough. It is not enough to say that we had players missing,” Di Francesco told the media.

Sassuolo offered very little going forward, with Domenico Berardi particularly struggling to live up to his past form.

“Berardi is a player who has to find the carefree and the desire to play as he did some time ago,” Di Francesco added.

Despite the defeat, Sassuolo remain in 7th but will not look to rest on their laurels.

“I do not accept any praise for where we are in the table, it means nothing at this stage of the season,” Di Francesco noted.

“I hope this result will change our attitude.”
