strootman nainggolan romaRoma midfielder Kevin Strootman has saluted former Giallorossi coach Rudi Garcia, following the Frenchman’s departure from the club.

Garcia was sacked after leading the Lupi to just one win in 10 games, a run which has left Roma in fifth place, seven points off Serie A leaders Napoli.

“Mister [Garcia], thank you so much for the support you gave me during my rehabilitation and for always having faith in me as a player.” said the 25-year-old on his Facebook page.

“You believed in me from the beginning and you brought me to AS Roma, and for this I will always be grateful.

“I wish to you, Claude [Fichaux] and Frederic [Bompard] the best for the future. ”

During his time at Roma Strootman has been limited to just 32 appearances due to recurring knee injuries.
