Torino president Urbano Cairo has reportedly requested that Napoli target Nikola Maksimovic remains at the club until June when he could be allowed to leave.
The defender has been attracting interest from the Partenopei for quite some time now and it is believed that the Granata rejected a bid for the player from the current Serie A leaders already this January.
As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Cairo has personally requested that the Serbian international sees out the current season at the Stadio Olimpico, leaving the possibility of a summer departure open for the 24-year-old.
Maksimovic has played just three times in Serie A for Il Toro this campaign. Having played in his side’s home defeat to Empoli on January 10, the defender had previously not featured for Giampiero Ventura’s side since their week two win over Fiorentina on August 30.
