Vucinic - JuventusMirko Vucinic has proclaimed his affection for former club Lecce and stated that he would love to go back and play for them regardless of what division they play in.

The Montenegro international played for Roma and Juventus before joining Abu Dhabi side Al Jazira for €6 million in 2014.

“I’m thinking of ending my career at Lecce, if that means I’ll find myself in Lega Pro, Serie B, A or D it makes no difference to me,” said Vucinic to Sky Sport Italia.

The Giallorossi were the striker’s first club in Italy and he made a total of 111 appearances and scored 34 goals for the Puglian side before moving to the capital for an eventual fee of €19m.

Lecce are currently competing in Lega Pro after being relegated for their part in a betting scandal and they have been beaten in promotion playoffs by current Serie A outfits Carpi and Frosinone in recent seasons.
