AC Milan are reportedly closing in on Ajax forward Anwar El Ghazi and plan on securing him at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

The 20-year-old, whose current contract with the Dutch giants is set to expire in June 2019, was a main target of the Rossoneri during the January transfer window, with the Italian side failing in their attempts to land his services for the second half of the season, though it seems like the youngster may end up in Milan this summer.

According to Tuttosport, several AC Milan representatives were present in the stands during Ajax’s 2-1 victory over Feyenoord on February 7 and met with El Ghazi following the win, with the Netherlands international apparently agreeing to sign a five-year contract with the Diavolo in the coming months.

Reports suggest that the forward’s deal with the Stadio Meazza outfit would include a salary of around €2 million per season.

El Ghazi has scored nine goals and provided one assist in his 18 Eredivisie appearances this term thus far.
