abate honda insigne napoli milanFabio Andreotti, agent of Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne, believes that his client has been proving to be a key player in Maurizio Sarri’s squad this season.

The 24-year-old has now scored a total of 11 goals and has provided 10 assists in his 25 Serie A appearances this term thus far and his agent believes that he’s a perfect fit in Sarri’s current project at Napoli after his match saving performance in the Partenopei’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan on Monday.

Andreotti spoke to TuttoMercatoWeb.com on Tuesday about Insigne’s satisfactory performance and goal against AC Milan and commented on Napoli’s upcoming challenges in both Italy and Europe.

“Lorenzo is continuously proving to be a key player for Napoli,” said the agent. “Together with his team-mates, he perfectly represents a central role in Sarri’s squad.

“He was the one that tried the hardest to score a goal and get forward in the draw against AC Milan.

“His performance is the result of his great tenacity and desire to score, along with his desire to be useful to the team.

“The criticism of Gonzalo Higuain? I believe it’s wrong. The problem is that it’s normal to be criticized as an attacker in a team like Napoli when you don’t score in a game.

“Yesterday, however, even though he didn’t score, he still did a great job for the team. You also have to congratulate the tough Rossoneri defence.

“Napoli now have two important challenges coming up against Villarreal in the Europa League and Fiorentina in the Serie A.

“The Partenopei bring something extra against Villarreal. In the first leg they only lost to their Spanish opponents because of a lack of luck. They can overturn this result at the San Paolo.

“Fiorentina have begun playing better. Playing in Florence will not be easy, but I trust in Napoli’s abilities.”
