Inter are reportedly keen on a move which would bring Chelsea defender John Terry to Italy this summer.

The Nerazzurri were thrashed 3-0 by their city rivals AC Milan this past Sunday. This has forced the Inter management to look at available options for the defence.

According to the Daily Star, John Terry is high on Inter’s wishlist and coach Roberto Mancini is an admirer of the 35-year-old whose contract expires this summer.

The London side recently confirmed that Terry’s contract would not be extended and that he would be moving on at the end of the season.

Inter are looking to bolster their defence following the termination of Nemanja Vidic’s contract and the recent sale of Andrea Ranocchia to Sampdoria.

However, Inter director Piero Ausilio has claimed that the club will not be looking to sign any free agents.

“We will not be signing any free agents,” Ausilio revealed.

“We were evaluating defensive options in January, and we could only sign one player. But we decided to sign Eder instead.”
