AC Milan legend Kaka has welcomed Antonio Nocerino to Orlando City, as the pair reunite after two years.

Florida’s Major League Soccer outfit moved quickly to snap up Italian midfielder Nocerino after he had his contract with AC Milan terminated earlier in the week, although DC United also benefited after the capital side attempted to acquire the player in the summer.

Orlando poster boy Kaka was pleased to see his old friend’s arrival in the Sunshine State, commenting “Thank you for choosing Nocerino, Lions.

“Welcome my friend.”

Nocerino ended his Rossoneri career on 74 Serie A appearances, as he also made loan moves to Parma, West Ham and Torino during his five year stint at the club.

The Lions finished their first ever MLS season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, seven points ahead of fellow newboys New York City FC who have Andrea Pirlo on their books.
