It has emerged that Manchester City are eyeing a possible summer move for Empoli midfielder Leandro Paredes and have already made an enquiry to his parent club Roma regarding his potential availability.

Having joined the Giallorossi  in 2014, the Argentine starlet was loaned to Marco Giampaolo’s Azzurri side last August, where he has so far made 20 Serie A appearances for the Tuscan outfit, scoring two goals and making one assist.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Premier League side are already lining up possible signings for incoming coach Pep Guardiola, who has reportedly identified the composed youngster as a potential target for when he takes the Citizens’ reins this forthcoming summer.

However, it is also believed that Giallorossi coach, Luciano Spalletti, has no intention of relinquishing Paredes’ services.

Liverpool have also shown an interest in the former Boca Juniors man, although will face stiff competition from City if they are to try to sign him.
