MontolivoAfter captaining AC Milan to a 2-1 victory over Genoa on Sunday afternoon, Riccardo Montolivo immediately turned his attention to their next match with Napoli as they chase a Champions League qualification place.

However, with the Partenopei losing Serie A top spot to Juventus on Saturday night, the midfielder is expecting a different performance than the one they displayed in Turin.

“I saw the Napoli match,” Montolivo told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was not beautiful, but very tactical.

“We will surely find a different Napoli, very strong in all departments, but we will go there to win.

“There is disappointment at the squad not immediately finding this form, but I’m happy for the reaction of the team that has found a solidity that is seen on the pitch.

With Keisuke Honda pulling the creative strings for Milan against the Grifone, and netting the vital winner, the Italian praised the contribution he makes to the team.

“Honda is a reliable and trustworthy player,” stated Montolivo. “I’m happy to have a player like him in the team, with guys like him you reach your goals.”
