ionitaNapoli and Fiorentina are reportedly ready to battle it out for Hellas Verona midfielder Artur Ionita this summer.

The 25-year-old, whose current contract with the Gialloblu is set to expire in June 2017, has been steadily linked with a move away from the struggling Mastini as of late due to their poor performances this season and it seems like he could end up with either the Partenopei or the Viola in the near future.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Moldova international has already been on Napoli’s radar for several weeks now, but only just received an offer of €3 million plus €1 million in bonuses from Fiorentina in recent days.

Reports suggest that while the Gigliati’s recent proposal has been turned down by Hellas Verona, the Stadio Bentegodi outfit may be ready to resume talks in June.

Ionita has scored one goal and provided one assist in his 15 Serie A appearances this term thus far.
