Manuel Garcia Quilon, agent of Napoli duo Jose Callejon and Raul Albiol, has revealed that his clients are not worried about securing contract renewals at the moment.
Both players have continued to play an important role in Maurizio Sarri’s squad, with Callejon scoring four goals and providing seven assists in his 23 Serie A appearances this term thus far and Albiol scoring a goal and providing two assists of his own in 23 appearances, and their agent has pointed out that there’s still enough time on both of their contracts for them to only concentrate on performing well for the remainder of the season.
Quilon spoke to TuttoNapoli about his clients’ futures at Napoli and insisted that they’re taking things slowly for now.
“Renewals? At this moment, there is no rush for these talks,” said the agent.
“The market just closed, and these past few weeks have been hectic, so I haven’t had the opportunity to speak with the president.
“Negotiations in the spring? There may be, but the boys aren’t expiring yet, so we are very calm at the moment. We’re taking things slowly.”
