ACF Fiorentina v SSC Napoli - Serie AFiorentina and Napoli drew 1-1 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Serie A on Monday night, a result which suited neither side in their pursuit of the Scudetto.

Marcos Alonso gave the hosts the lead after just six minutes, when the Spanish full-back headed past Pepe Reina from six yards out.

The Partenopei responded within a minute, as Gonzalo Higuain slid home the equaliser after a mistake from Alonso on the edge of the box.

Ciprian Tatarusanu – 7 – Impressive

Produced a magnificent double save on 57 minutes to first deny Callejon and then Higuain when it looked certain Napoli were about to take the lead.

Facundo Roncaglia – 6 – Solid

Started the game at right full-back and dealt well with the threat of Insigne without offering much going forward.

Gonzalo Rodriguez – 6 – Dependable

Had to be on his game in dealing with Higuain and done well in denying the Argentine much space.

Davide Astori – 7 – Composed

Apart from the incident on 56 minutes where the former Cagliari defender was turned inside out by Callejon, the centre-back didn’t put a foot wrong and kept his concentration throughout.

Marcos Alonso – 6.5 – Mixed

Jumped highest to meet Valero’s corner on six minutes to give the home side the lead before making a horrible mistake which lead to Higuain equalising for the Partenopei a minute later.

Matias Vecino – 6.5 – Productive

Pressed and harried the Napoli midfield with impressive work rate and shot over twice from long range on 43 and 73 minutes. Played a nice one-two with Tello just after half-time which lead to a good chance.

Milan Badelj – 6 – Battler

Came so close to finding the net just before half-time with a shot which hit the outside of the Napoli post following a corner. Much like his midfield partner Vecino, put a huge shift in closing down any space the away side created.

Christian Tello – 7 – Silky

Produced a dangerous cross after just a minute and played a superb ball to Kalinic on 31 minutes, but the striker failed to convert the chance. Hit the cross-bar moments later with a left foot drive. Faded as the game wore on.

Borja Valero – 7 – Classy

Played just behind Kalinic in the number ten role and dictated play for the home side. Produced a perfect delivery from the corner which lead to the opening goal for Alonso.

Matias Fernandez  – 6 – Marginalised

Put in one fantastic delivery from a free-kick in the second half which just flew over, and fizzed a right foot drive just wide on 64 minutes before being substituted on 70 minutes.

Nikola Kalinic – 6.5 – Missed

Should have given his side the lead on the half hour but hit the cross bar after being put through by Tello. Held the ball up well throughout and showed good movement to create space for others.

Federico Bernardeschi (70 mins) – N/A

Josip Ilicic (90 mins) – N/A
