Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason believes that Thursday’s match against Fiorentina will be an exciting encounter between two tactically strong sides.
The Europa League last 32 tie is finely poised after the two sides drew 1-1 in Florence last Thursday. Ahead of the second leg, Mason still feels his side can progress to the next round.
“It’s clear that we hold a lot of respect for the Europa League and we want to go as far as possible in this competition.” said Mason to Tottenham’s official website.
“We are a young team so this type of experience is very useful to us. The first-leg was a very enjoyable game to play in.
“They got the better of us in the last 20 minutes but it was a pure footballing game, they had similar tactics to us and always looked to play out from the back.
“I’m sure it will be the same at the Lane, an exciting, open game.”
