Nice winger Hatem Ben Arfa.

The former Newcastle talent has managed to recapture the form that made him such a hit in French football, scoring 11 goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances for Le Gym.

Now it seems a duel between the two Milan clubs for the 29 year-old is set to intensify, as Tuttosport understands the Rossoneri have settled on Ben Arfa as their first option to reinforce the attack

Inter have had similar uncertainties surrounding their strike force this campaign, with both sides looking at signing Ben Arfa on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.

Milan had been pursuing the signature of Palermo forward Franco Vazquez, but the €25 million asking price from the Sicilians has seen them revisiting the idea of bringing in Ben Arfa.

The same publication suggests that Lille midfielder Sofiane Boufal has also been under observation from Milan scouts, while Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi is still on their radar.

Mario Balotelli remains at a crossroads with regard to his future, while Jeremy Menez and Luiz Adriano could be sold in a bid to raise funds for next season.
