Iturbe - Lazio v RomaRoma winger Juan Iturbe is set to make his return to Stadio Olimpico this summer, once his loan at Bournemouth is expired.

The 22-year-old joined the English newcomers in January, with an option to make his loan signing permanent at the end of the season should the player make 10 appearances and the Cherries stay in the Premier League.

But as Gazzetta dello Sport reported, Iturbe’s return to the Italian capital is just to be confirmed officially, after the Argentinian has played just twice since his arrival, for a total of 55 minutes, and with seven fixtures left he can’t meet the agreed conditions for his signing anymore.

The striker’s failed move means Roma won’t earn the almost €18 million set for his right-to-buy clause, which the Giallorossi were relying on to recoup a stunning €25 million investment to sign the player from Verona only two years ago.

During his two-season spell at Stadio Olimpico Iturbe had featured in 39 Serie A games, scoring three times.
