Fiorentina are plotting a move for Santos starlet Gabriel Barbosa during the summer transfer window to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.
The 19-year-old forward, who has been dubbed the new Neymar and is nicknamed ‘Gabigol’ in Brazil, could make the move to Serie A before this summer’s Olympic games in Rio.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, a fee in the region of €15 million could be enough to secure the signature of the youngster as he is keen to make the move to Europe and test himself in one of the top leagues.
Barbosa has 19 goals in 72 league games for Santos and has also scored seven times while playing for Brazil’s Under-17, U20, and U23 teams.
La Viola have struggled in front of goal in recent months which was evident once again during their 0-0 draw against lowly Frosinone last weekend.
