Torino FC v Genoa CFC - Serie AGenoa host Torino at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday afternoon in Serie A, with the Rossoblu hoping to close the gap on Torino in the second half of the Serie A season.

The Rossoblu will be hoping to keep their winning form from last weekend’s 1-0 win over Empoli in Serie A at the Marassi and will be boosted by their 5-1 win over Il Toro when they met in the 2014-15 season.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men currently sit in 14th position in the standings on 31 points, two points off Il Toro who currently sit in 12th.

Torino drew in their last outing at home at the Stadio Olimpico.

Torino have been struggling for form lately with their last win being in early February against Palmero.

The Rossoblu, meanwhile, have won two of their last four games, looking to have a late charge up the ladder at the end of the Serie A season with this win over Torino they could climb as far up as 10th.

Giampiero Ventura’s side sit in 12th place in the table on 33 points after gameweek 28, only three points ahead of Atalanta and six points from Palermo in 17th.

When the two sides met earlier this season the game ended 3-3 at the Stadio Olimpico.

In the past 10 encounters between the sides, the Rossoblu have won three with four games ending in draws while Torino have beaten Genoa on three occasions.

In team news, Rossublu are set to be without Tim Matavz who is suffering muscle fatigue during the victory over Empoli on Monday, Giuseppe Panico is set to take his place on the bench.

Torino are expected to stick with the side that started last week’s draw against Lazio.
