Inter are eager to sign Juan Mata with the Nerazzurri considering both straight cash and exchange deals to bring the Spain international to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The 27-year-old’s future at Old Trafford could be at risk with Jose Mourinho tipped to take on the United job after the Spain international struggled to get playing time in the Portuguese’s Chelsea team.
According to Tuttosport, Inter would be willing to spend €20 million outright to sign Mata.
However, Mourinho is also reportedly an admirer of the Nerazzurri’s 31-year-old Brazilian centre-back Miranda so a potential exchange deal could be on the cards.
Mata has made 27 Premier League starts during the 2015-16 season, scoring five goals while Miranda has made 26 appearances and scored one goal.
