Juventus Napoli Evra CallejonPatrice Evra believes Juventus know what they must do to beat Bayern Munich and advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Bianconeri drew 2-2 in the first leg against Bayern and know they have to score in Munich in order to progress but the former Manchester United defender remains hopeful.

“I think the first leg showed us we can compete with Bayern,” Evra told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “If we take to the field and believe we can win 1-0 then we have a chance.

“It is a question of mentality and we now know that Bayern are vulnerable. We aren’t being arrogant as we respect our opponent but we can’t forget we made it to the final last season.

“Everyone thinks that Juventus are already beaten, but we don’t believe that is the case.

“I don’t think they feat us but they certainly have more respect for us and will play in a different manner after the game in Turin. We must take advantage of that.”

Evra want on to explain how Juve can win the game and ultimately the tie, as well as praising teammate Paul Pogba.

“When you play for Juve you realise you have to approach each match as if it were a final,” Evra asserted. “It doesn’t matter how you play as long as the team wins.

“Pogba’s problem is that he has too much quality. When he makes a mistake he gets frustrated because everyone thinks a player of his calibre can’t make a mistake. I always tell him to remain calm, work hard and listen to Allegri.

“He always asked for the ball against Bayern. We need people like that, but when he makes a mistake people only focus on that. We must let him work in peace.”
