Leonardo Bonucci celebratesLeonardo Bonucci is a €35 million transfer target for Chelsea and Manchester City, but the defender has pledged his future to Juventus.

The two Premier League clubs are planning to sign several players this summer, with both likely to have new managers known to be fans of the Italian defender.

But Bonucci, speaking to the press ahead of Italy’s friendly with Germany, reiterated that he has a contract with Juventus until 2020.

“At Juve there is still a lot of work to be done,” he said.

Antonio Conte, expected to be confirmed as the new Chelsea boss, has worked with the defender at Juventus and with Italy, and Bonucci recently thanked Conte for helping him become one of Europe’s best defenders.

Bonucci, who joined the Bianconeri from Bari in 2010, is also admired by Pep Guardiola, who will take over at Manchester City in the summer and plans to invest heavily in the club’s defence.

The defender’s comments, though, are likely to disappoint the English clubs and their incoming bosses.
