isla-marseille-juventusLigue 1 side Olympique de Marseille will not exercise their right to make Mauricio Isla’s stay permanent and will allow him to return to Juventus once the season comes to its close.

Les Olympiens have endured a tough season as they currently sit just above the relegation zone and will be looking to cut costs once more by letting go of several players, one of which shall be the Chilean international.

“Isla will not be redeemed by Marseille,” Fernando Felicevich, the player’s agent, told TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

“Despite the fact he has played well, the club are in a financial position where they cannot afford the fee Juventus have set.

“In June he will return to Juve, where he still has a year left on his contract.”

It is believed the Bianconeri are demanding €7 million to make the deal permanent.

Isla has scored two goals and assisted one in a total of 35 appearances for Michel’s men this season.
