The 60-year-old Marsciano-born former midfielder, who has held the post of Director of Football at clubs like Palermo and Lazio in the past, has held the same role at Stadio Olimpico since the year 2011.

CalcioMercato report that both Inter and Sinisa Mihaljovic’s Milan are looking to knock at Sabatini’s door when the Italian’s contract at the Giallorossi expires.

It’s being said that Roma President James Pallotta will shed some light on Sabbatini’s future in the coming few days. Sabatini has a contract till June 2017 at Roma and apart from the Milan clubs, Bologna are also said to be interested in him.

The former Parma player joined Roma after Daniele Prade exited the club five years ago, and Sabatini was awarded the best director of football award for the 2013–14 Serie A season.
