maurizio sarriTalk of Maurizio Sarri being let go by Napoli in the summer, despite a strong campaign with the Serie A side, has been rebuffed by his agent Alessandro Pellegrini.

The former Empoli boss has been in charge for just the current season at the Stadio San Paolo, large portions of which they’ve led the table but now sit second as discussions turn to Sarri’s one-year contract.

“There is nothing with AC Milan and there cannot be anything in the future because we are under contract with Napoli until June 30,” Pellegrini to MilanNews.it.

“Sarri has a contract with Napoli and they have an option to exercise an extension, but until now they have not exercised that. We await the end of season and then we’ll talk.”

Of course, this statement will not go far to end the possibilities of Sarri’s future, with AC Milan believed to be just one interested party in the Italian as Serie A prepares for a summer managerial merry-go-round.

“This talk is deliberate destabilization but that’s part of the game, people are always trying to create problems,” concluded Pellegrini.
