Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, has revealed he is a fan of Italian giants AC Milan.
The five time NBA champion who spent a fair amount of time growing up in Italy during his childhood, recounts how the Rossoneri’s squad in the past were littered with iconic names especially Marco Van Basten who became his idol.
“I grew up in Milan and AC Milan was my team, it was the team I supported whole-heartedly,” 37-year-old told reporters. My idol was Van Basten.
“It was the golden era of Milan as the club had the Dutch trio of Van Basten, Frank Rijkaard and Ruud Gullit spearheading its attack.
“I also remembered club captain Franco Baresi and a young Paolo Maldini, who was just making his début.”
