Inter’s loaned out defender Andrea Ranocchia is not yet thinking about what will happen when his loan deal at Sampdoria expires.

Ranocchia lost the captaincy at the Nerazzurri to Mauro Icardi at the end of last season and always looked destined for a move elsewhere, and after finding a home at Sampdoria he’s admitted that his adopted club are his only thought at the moment.

“I don’t know what will happen in the future,” the Italy international conceded to Sportmediaset.

“It doesn’t depend on me, I don’t think about the future but only the present day.”

The defender still has over three years left on his Inter contract, having signed a major extension in 2014 after succeeding Javier Zanetti as captain of the club.

Sampdoria have provided the 28-year-old with some regular playing time once again, and after making eight appearances so far he revealed the pleasure caused by an upturn in form.

“I’m finding my ideal form,” he continued.

“It had been so long that I was able to play with continuity.”
