Napoli PalermoNapoli coach Maurizio Sarri praised Gonzalo Higuain’s unselfishness after his team edged out Palermo 1-0 in Serie A.

The Argentinian bagged the games’ only goal from the penalty spot but the Partenopei were less than convincing in their victory.

“Higuain was very unselfish tonight,” Sarri told Premium Sport. “He was good at playing for the team.

“Of course we are very pleased with what we have done tonight,

“Now we remain just three points behind Juventus who have got 55 points out of a possible 57 recently.”

Despite picking up the win, Palermo caused Napoli a number of problems making the win very hard-fought.

“Against Palermo it was not easy,” Sarri added. “It was a complicated game because they wanted to react after everything that had happened during the week.”

“Sometimes we were too elaborate when dribbling. We had chances to close out the game before the end.”

Napoli’s next game is at home against Genoa.
